Vicar – Rev. David Price
David has been the Vicar of St John’s since 2012.
David is pleased to be part of what God is doing at St John’s. His favourite part of his work is helping people take steps forward in faith, for example on the Christianity Explored course and the regular nurture groups run by the church.
David was brought up in England, Australia and Venezuela and became a Christian in the sixth form after reading the New Testament. He trained as an economist, and subsequently worked in the overseas aid field doing assignments in various developing countries. Along the way he was called to full-time Christian service, and he was ordained in 1997 after training at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford.
David has been married to his wife Becky for 33 years and they have two adult children, Chris and Helen. David’s interests include photography and model railways, and he is a supporter of Arsenal and Poole Town (where he is Honorary Chaplain).

Children and Families Worker – Ms. Bex Simpkins
Bex Simpkins has been the Children and Families worker for St. Johns since 2014
Bex was brought up in the rural depths of North Wiltshire in both a Christian and farming family. She became a Christian when she was 17 at Spring Harvest.
Studying childcare she became a full time nursery nurse but Bex found herself doing increasing amounts of volunteer work within the church. She discovered an increasing passion to want to do more to share the love of God with children.
After A year’s Children's Ministry course with CYM and lots of prayer the post of Children and Families worker at St John's seemed a great way to pursue this desire further.
She truly feels St John's is where God wants her to be, loving the fact that she is able to go into schools, nurseries and support clubs where seeds of the knowledge of God’s love are being sown. Outside of work she enjoys both playing and listening to music, shopping, and a good piece of cake.
